Ritu Khanna Executive Director

Ritu Khanna's professional career spans 20 years in the not-for-profit, political, advertising and banking sectors. She has led teams through local, national and some international initiatives that have involved strategy development, brand building, managing large financial budgets to execution of marketing campaigns. Her projects have incorporated all forms of media, including TV, radio, direct marketing, print and social media, some in multiple languages. Her work has received both company and industry awards. Some of her most prominent clients have included RBC Royal Bank, Ralph Lauren, Bridgestone-Firestone, The Canadian Olympic Association and the Hudson's Bay Company.

Ritu was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She moved to the South Surrey/White Rock area in 2012 and has come to love the community. In a short time, she has already made a significant contribution. With the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, she has volunteered for many events, most notably serving as CoChair of the annual fundraising Gala for 2 years. Due to the combined efforts of a special group of volunteers and staff, in that time, the Gala was rated as one of the top 10 fundraising events in the province and raised a record amount in 2018, over $1 million dollars in one night. That same year, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation and is looking forward to continuing to support the hospital in that capacity.

Ritu has also made a significant contribution towards the arts & culture community. She served as a Board member of the White Rock Museum & Archives for 2 years, contributed to Arts Umbrella’s Surrey Task Force and was instrumental in activating PACA (the Peninsula Arts & Culture Alliance).

Her most important role remains being an active mom to her 10 year old son, which includes being a parent leader in his Cub Scout group. Ritu is often seen with her family walking in White Rock or Crescent Beach, with ice cream cones in hand.

She is now looking forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the community in her role as the Executive Director of the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce to help promote and support the amazing and varied businesses in the area.
