About Us

SurreyCares Community Foundation provides financial administration and oversight, education, advocacy, and research for the benefit of the community of Surrey, British Columbia. Established in 1994, SurreyCares is one of more than 200 community foundations belonging to Community Foundations of Canada. Better known as a “charity for charities,” we serve the people of Surrey by providing philanthropic tools, opportunities, and support for community-minded individuals, families, businesses, non-profit agencies, and fundraising groups to create permanent endowment funds that grant to charities through investment income. Community foundations help guide volunteer efforts and financial support to where it will have the greatest impact. Community knowledge gives us a deeper understanding of the wellbeing of our community and fosters collaboration with others. It is at the heart of our work. SurreyCares helps donors make a positive difference in our community, and in the lives of the people who live here.
