Hope Meets Action tells the powerful story of Afro-diasporic history in "British Columbia"—past, present, and future. It shines a light on the often-overlooked and whitewashed narratives of Black belonging in the region, bringing to life the living and ongoing history of Black communities. This groundbreaking exhibit, curated and told by the Black community for the first time, offers a transformative perspective against the backdrop of colonial history.Guests will hear from the White Rock Museum team during the event and are encouraged to visit the exhibit across the street to experience its impactful storytelling.
