About Us
The National Hiking Trail was inspired in 1971 and has continued to develop since then. There are portions of the NHT in most provinces of Canada. The coordination of this project in British Columbia is being done by Hike BC, a not-for-profit registered society. All work is being done by volunteers.
Hike BC is developing a program to raise money called the ''Trail Pass''. Our goal is to not rely on government grants, but rather to work with local merchants. Our slogan is ''Helping us help you''.
Currently, the trail starts at Peace Arch Visitors' Centre and winds along 8th Avenue in Surrey, along the White Rock Promenade and north through Centennial Park, Sunnyside Acres and the Semiahmoo Heritage Trail.Tell a Friend
