About Us

Penmar is an arts charity that exists to find tools and develop programs that foster the development of live music and the arts. We fundraise and provide grants to organizations that build community by making live music and other cultural events accessible to diverse audiences.

Since 2014, we have provided over $100K in grants to musicians and venues and we have supported over 200 live events in the South Fraser Region.

In short, we want to facilitate cool shows and make sure everyone gets paid. We want developing artists to have a chance to tour, build an audience and keep growth and opportunity alive in the music industry.

The coronavirus pandemic is proving to be the most difficult challenge ever faced by the creative community. Musicians, artists, concert workers and promoters were the first to shut down and will be the last to open.

Creative Class VIP is a program that was inspired by musicians, creative professionals and small business owners.
