About Us
Established in 2002 and designed by acclaimed architect Bing Thom, Simon Fraser University’s (SFU) Surrey campus is located in the heart of Surrey’s downtown (Central City). The campus offers more than 30 undergraduate and graduate degree programs and courses in the areas of business, education, arts and social sciences, applied sciences, health sciences, science, interactive arts and technology, and continuing studies; serving over 8,000 full and part time students. In 2019, SFU opened a new, five-storey, 170,000-square-foot building which is home to its new Sustainable Energy Engineering program. The Surrey campus is a centre for world-class research and innovation in health, alternative/sustainable energy and creative technologies. SFU Surrey has a long history of working closely with regional business, government, academic and community partners to support social, economic and educational initiatives.
